Hundreds in hospital after leak at Indian chemical factory closed by lockdown

A gas leak at a chemical factory in southern India has killed at least nine people and led to hundreds being taken to hospital, amid fears that the death toll could climb higher. Styrene leaked from the Korean-owned LG Polymers plant during the early hours of Thursday morning when families in the surrounding villages were asleep, a local official in Andra Pradesh state said. Hundreds of Delhi rooms, including at 5-stars booked to quarantine int’l passengers

As the D-Day of one of the biggest evacuations starts on Thursday, the national capital has ramped up its efforts to mass quarantine evacuees and has started to book rooms across Delhi that can go up to several thousands, to keep them stationed for 14 days.
