Facebook has bought Giphy, a popular tool for creating animated GIFs that pepper conversations around the internet. The companies did not disclose how much the deal was worth. But news website Axios reported the deal was valued at about US$400 million ($623 million), citing unnamed people familiar with the matter. WHO chief calls for new global policy to expand access to COVID-19 tools

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus urged world leaders to come together and develop a new global policy to expand access to COVID-19-related technology achievements. Fugitive Nirav Modi’s trial in UK adjourned till Sep

The extradition trial of the Indian fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi in a case of financial fraud and money laundering worth $2 billion, has been adjourned by the court in the UK till September 7.
